The aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75) is done! 16.4 Feet long. 200,000 Bricks, movable elevators and radar dishes, electric lights on the flight deck, in the hangar, and inside the aircraft, a motorized catapult!

Amazingly High Rez photos of the sinking of an old carrier to make a reef!

The Oriskany, a decommissioned aircraft carrier, was sunk 24 miles off the coast of Pensacola, Fla., on May 17 to form an artificial reef. The sinking of the 888-foot ship took 37 minutes.

Man Raised By Chickens is Discovered!!

A man locked in a chicken coop had little contact with humans during most of his life. He is said to have been imprinted by chickens, picking up the habits of the birds such as clucking and pecking for food.

Two-Thirds of young Americans are geographically inept

After more than three years of combat and nearly 2,400 U.S. military deaths in Iraq, nearly two-thirds of Americans aged 18 to 24 still cannot find Iraq on a map, a study released Tuesday showed.

Thirty-three percent of respondents couldn’t pinpoint Louisiana on a map.

So Stephen Colbert basically killed at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner on Saturday. The people in attendance didn’t seem so thrilled, but I thought it was pretty funny (and a little too true for those present).
