Justice Served?

In what might be the most egregious of the corporate looting scandals, the CEO of Tyco was convicted the other day and faces up to 30 years in prison. Kick Ass. These guys are the worst kind of DBs.

They’re going to appeal, so I guess I shouldn’t get to excited yet, but hopefully these guys will eventually get whats coming to them.

Long QOTD

June 17th, 2005 | No Comments | Posted in General, quotes

To laugh often and much;

To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;

To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;

To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others;

To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;

To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.

This is to have succeeded.

- Ralph Waldo Emerson *

* Apparently there is some disagreement as to the true attribution of this piece of work.

Web Hosting

If you’re ever in the mood to try your hand at having a little’ole website of your own, this looks like a great place to do it if you just want to dip your toe in the water. They have a very flexible pricing mechanism, so you really only pay for the services your site actually consumes (Think “Rollover Minutes”, but for a website).

It looks like they’re very committed to protecting free-speech. So if you’re an Iranian dissident wanting to blog about the current elections, you should be pretty money.

New Look

June 12th, 2005 | No Comments | Posted in General

I get bored (visually) with things rather easily. That’s why I tend to change my desktop background fairly often.

I’ve decided to do the same with the blog. So I’ve added a couple of different themes to it. If you don’t like the new look, the old one is still here, just click on the “WordPress Default” link under “Themes” section on the right.

Dang!
