I’m am so close to HD Nirvana…but these D Bags have to be jerks, so I can’t get my local ABC over Charter HD. So, no HD Monday Night Football, which is unfortunate. On top of it all, this is the same outfit that was overtly political during the last election. So that gives me a warm-fuzzy when organizations don’t even try to hide the fact that they’re completely biased.
You can imagine what I was thinking of when I saw this headline on cnn.com:
As it turned out, they literally were punching monkeys….who would have thought?
As I’ve mentioned before, one of the perks of having your wife work for a radio group (doing web design and development), is all the free stuff!
So I get a call from her about 5:30 on Friday night, asking if I’d be interested in going to the Greenday concert. I said “Why not?”. Overall, pretty cool show…lots of energy. I can tell I’m getting old because it’s now Sunday morning and one of my ears is still ringing a bit. In my defense, it was MF’ing LOUD.
This concert highlighted a pet peeve of mine. Whenever the singer makes any reference to insert-town-you’re-playing-in-here, the locals go absolutely bonkers. Now on any normal show, that might happen once or twice…but at the Greenday concert, it was something more like a million…or more.
Anyway…good show nontheless.

How in the hell is this stuff news? What ever happened to news organizations reporting on stuff really going on in the world?
Stuff like 300,000 dead people in Africa…
or rewriting the rules, when you don’t like them…
