March Madness

Apparently (unbeknownest to me) there are some young lads venturing to our fine town to participate in a couple friendly games of basketball. Just in case there was anybody in downtown St. Louis that was un-aware of this fact, some wiley marketing/advertising folks decided to make it a bit easier for us to realize what’s going down in STL this coming weekend.

I snapped a few pics on the (4 block) walk from my parking lot to work. Enjoy!

BTW: I didn’t really get to watch much of the tournament in the beginning 3 rounds. I did have a chance to see most of the Elite Eight games this past Easter Weekend. Talk about 4 games of awesome basketball.

Now if I could only get my Hi-Def Antenna to get my local CBS affiliate on a consistent basis. (Raises fist to sky) Damn you technology!

Inconsistent Actions

This AP story points out that the President signed a Texas law in 1999 that just about goes directly against what he signed this past week.

It’s terribly sad that this already difficult issue has exploded into such a politcal event. It’s hard for me to find any sense in this other than it’s being turned into a completely political issue, with little regard for the persons involved.

Army Alphabet

I’ve always thought it was cool in movies or videogames when you have some military-type or secret agent barking out coordinates to “objectives” something along the line of: “Alpha Team, proceed to location Alpha-Bravo-Niner!”.

Well, now you can integrate the same thing into your everyday life. Something like: “Honey, will you take the trash to the Tango sector?”

Hmm…kinda loses some of the pazzazz, but interesting non-the-less.
